Colorbar Kissproof Lipstick Plum Shot Review

I have reviewed some beautiful red and pink lipsticks from Colorbar’s Kissproof lipstick range. So far, “Prickly Red” is my most-used lipstick from the whole range. Today, it is time for a different blue-based purple color for some bold lips lovers. Take a look if you are looking for a purple lipstick in a matte and long-lasting formula. I am talking about the shade “Plum Shot” in this review.

My Experience with Colorbar Kissproof Lipstick Plum Shot:

This is a different lipstick color in my collection since I don’t own too many blue-based lipsticks. I am quite impressed with this bold shade and the smooth formula that sets to a matte finish. Just that I would say that this color is so bold that one layer is enough and if I layer it on, it looks cakey and more blue tones come through. This can seem like a gothic shade and a mature color, so you could use a lighter eye makeup with this one.

These lipsticks are quite similar to Colorbar’s previous range of long-wear lipsticks (like the Vintage one I had reviewed previously), but the formula is better than long-wear lipsticks and these also settle to a smudge-proof finish.

The lipstick tube has a tiny amount of lipstick, but trust me, that’s a potent amount. The lipstick goes on like butter, so smooth and watery and once you give it 15 seconds, it settles into a transfer-proof, matte finish. Yes, this turns into a 95% smudge-proof, kiss-proof and shower-proof lipstick once you wait for it to settle down.
